Washington Families Fund 2009 Request for Proposals (RFP) Released
The Washington Families Fund (WFF) was established by the Washington State Legislature in 2004 in response to the widespread and significant need for affordable housing and supportive services for families experiencing homelessness. Washington Families Fund grant awards are intended both to help sustain existing support service programs and to create new service-enriched housing across Washington State. In four funding cycles, the Families Fund has awarded nearly $13 million to 36 innovative housing partnerships statewide.
In this funding round, up to $3.3 million is available from the Washington Families Fund for Moderate Level and High Level service projects. Applications are due September 24, 2009.
New this year: King County Combined NOFA
The King County Homeless Housing Funder Group recently announced a combined funding round for supportive housing to address homelessness throughout King County. Seven public and private funders -- including the Washington Families Fund -- will allocate $41 million in combined funds through this Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA). The intent of the combined NOFA is to provide streamlined application processes, reviews, and awards to expedite providers' ability to implement projects and house homeless households.
