Filmmaker Alexandra Pelosi, creator of the recent HBO documentary "Homeless: The Motel Kids of Orange County," will visit the Seattle area Thursday, January 20, for a special screening of the film just before it becomes available on DVD. During her visit, she'll meet with different provider groups to talk about family homelessness in this area. She'll also be interviewed by local media about the film and its local relevance, and about her life as an acclaimed filmmaker (and daughter of Rep. Nancy Pelosi).

A limited number of free tickets may be available at the door for the 7:00 pm, January 20th screening at SIFF Cinema, McCaw Hall; those tickets will be first-come, first-served. Learn more here.

Pelosi's visit is being presented by Seattle University's Center for Strategic Communications and its Project on Family Homelessness.
