2011 National Conference on Ending Family Homelessness
The 2011 National Conference on Ending Family Homelessness, an annual conference convened by the National Alliance to End Homelessness, will be held February 10-11 at the Oakland Marriott City Center in Oakland, CA.
Workshops are designed to maximize opportunities to learn about new and best practices for serving and housing homeless and at-risk families. Plenary sessions will include a keynote address by Secretary of Labor Robert Reich and a panel discussion on homelessness among children moderated by U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness Executive Director Barbara Poppe and featuring Marybeth Shinn of Vanderbilt University, Barbara Duffield of the National Association for the Education of Homeless Children and Youth, Sue Marshall of The Community Partnership for the Prevention of Homelessness, and Matt Minkevitch of The Road Home.
