HOPWA Technical Assistance
Building Changes has provided our HOPWA-funded program with essential training and technical assistance since we received our first HOPWA grant more than six years ago. From formal classroom training for our staff to incidental phone- and email-based technical assistance, we rely on the expertise, experience, and intelligence of Building Changes staff to help us assure that we are consistently meeting the requirements of our federal funders and continually improving our supportive housing services to Oregonians living with HIV/AIDS.

HUD-Funded Services
Building Changes provides specialized technical assistance to agencies and programs funded by the Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) program of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). For the past thirteen years, Building Changes has been providing specialized technical assistance to localities, agencies, and programs that receive funding through HUD’s Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) program. We have seasoned staff who are experts in government regulations and guidance, sound program management and grants administration, and comprehensive housing strategies planning.
Consultations, Training, and Planning are Our Hallmarks.
Through hands-on consultations, training, planning, and resource dissemination activities, we are able to build capacity and facilitate collaborations between local and state low-income and special needs housing providers, housing authorities, funding intermediaries, service providers, government entities, private funders, and people living with HIV/AIDS and/or experiencing homelessness.
