Washington Families Fund
The Washington Families Fund is a public-private partnership that seeks to expand the availability of supportive housing by providing stable, long-term funding to agencies with the best models for ending family homelessness and strengthening communities throughout Washington state.
The Washington Families Fund supports two models of service funding, Moderate Needs and High Needs:
- The Washington Families Fund Moderate-Needs Family Service Model places an emphasis on activities that promote employment opportunities and stronger children’s services, in addition to core case management support.
Learn more about families served by Washington Families Fund Moderate-Needs Family programs. - The Washington Families Fund High-Needs Family Service Model is intended for agencies that serve chronically homeless families who are experiencing co-occurring disorders and multiple barriers. This model focuses on permanent supportive housing with intensive wrap-around services.

In this funding round, up to $1.2 million is available from the Washington Families Fund (WFF) for High-Needs Family projects. With the current resources available, WFF will be able to fund one to three High-Needs Family projects with an approximate total of 30 units.
Priorities for funding in this round include organizations serving families in counties where no WFF High-Needs Family program currently exists. (Click on map below to download as PDF)

How to Apply
Eligible organizations should complete the LOI Response Form and Program Budget Form and submit them to Building Changes by August 13, 2010. Selected agencies will then be invited to submit a full application for funding due in September. Agencies will be notified of funding awards in December 2010.
